The significance of the scarab in ancient Egyptian culture was transformation, renewal and resurrection. It also signified the morning sun. Opaque black glass is hand painted with 24K gold leaf. This two inch pendant hangs from a sixteen inch black leather cord, and fastens with a sterling silver toggle clasp.
