Fine jewellery line, Missoma, is a family affair. This main designer, Marisa Hordern, along with her mother Michele and sister Sophie have chosen to partner together to create a striking collection of jewellery with a unique style. This unique style has attracted some celebrity fans like Naomi Watts, Joss Stone, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman and Scarlett Johanssen. Missoma jewellery is known for its vibrant colour combinations. That combined with its elegant and sophisticated style helps this company’s jewellery give off a fun and sexy air that’s also young and feminine. These characteristics have helped this jewellery line receive a lot of exposure in the fashion media and fashion circles in general all around the world. Missoma jewellery has appeared on the pages of Harpers & Queen, Vanity Fair and the Saturday Telegraph Magazine. Marisa worked for two years in media for Richemont, a luxury goods holding company that owns international brands such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Chloe. But this job wasn’t for her and she chose to return to the world of designing. She joined forces with her mother to fill a niche in the jewellery market for affordable and imaginative fashion jewellery. The company started with the goal to provide an alternative to the high-end fashion jewellery on the market by crafted equally lovely jewellery at affordable prices. Missoma, the name of the company, is a combination of all the women’s names.
