Pippa Small jewellery

Considered one of London’s most talented jewellery designers, Pippa Small’s original pieces of jewellery have the distinction of no two pieces being the same. Her jewellery is so select that it’s only available in a few stores in Europe and in the jewellery halls of Barneys, New York. Pippa Small jewellery is made of almost pure gold (22 carat) and combines rough diamonds and exquisite gemstones.The designer was born in Canada and raised in Wiltshire with an extended family of artists and travelers. Pippa Small grew up in a home filled with an interesting mix of cultural artifacts collected from the travels of her extended family. As a small child, this designer was attracted to gems, shells and minerals. She used to store these treasures, along with beads, bottle tops, seeds, sea-washed glass, in little piles around her childhood home.It wasn’t long before the young Pippa Small decided to string her pieces together to make rough jewellery pieces that became a diary of her existence. Her jewellery told stories.Pippa Small studied anthropology and completed an MA in medical anthropology. She got into jewellery designing as a way to pay for her education. Today Pippa Small designs her jewellery in London and makes it in India.
